Affine Object Tracking using Kernel-based Region Covariance Descriptors
Visual tracking remains a challenging problem because of intrinsic appearance variability of object and extrinsic disturbance. Many algorithms have been recently proposed to capture the varying appearance of targets. Most existing tracking methods, however, fail to estimate the scale and orientation of the target. To deal with this problem, we model the second-order statistics of image regions ...
متن کاملConvolutional Gating Network for Object Tracking
Object tracking through multiple cameras is a popular research topic in security and surveillance systems especially when human objects are the target. However, occlusion is one of the challenging problems for the tracking process. This paper proposes a multiple-camera-based cooperative tracking method to overcome the occlusion problem. The paper presents a new model for combining convolutiona...
متن کاملObject tracking using affine structure for point correspondences
A new object tracking algorithm based on affine structure has been developed and it is shown that the performance is better than that of a Kalman filter based correlation tracker. The algorithm is fast, reliable, viewpoint invariant, and insensitive to occlusion and/or individual corner disappearance or reappearance. Detailed experimental analysis on a long real image sequence is also presented.
متن کاملME R-CNN: Multi-Expert R-CNN for Object Detection
Recent CNN-based object detection methods have drastically improved their performances but still use a single classifier as opposed to ”multiple experts” in categorizing objects. The main motivation of introducing multi-experts is twofold: i) to allow different experts to specialize in different fundamental object shape priors and ii) to better capture the appearance variations caused by differ...
متن کاملReal-time affine region tracking and coplanar grouping
We present a novel approach for tracking locally planar regions in an image sequence and their grouping into larger planar surfaces. The tracker recovers the affine transformation of the region and therefore yields reliable point correspondences between frames. Both edges and texture information are exploited in an integrated way, while not requiring the complete region’s contour. The tracker w...
